Sarah – Founder
The concept of The One Day Wedding Company evolved naturally. I have been in the events industry, including managing weddings in Australia, the UK and Thailand, for 12 years. So I naturally became the ‘go-to’ person for friends getting married who were after just ‘a little bit of wedding help’.
Before their wedding's, we would catch up for a coffee and chat about how their day would run. I would give advice on timing's, room layout, menus, supplier recommendations, AV equipment, music playlist's, budgets and much more! On their wedding days, I would find myself at their venues coordinating the many suppliers, making sure everything was running to schedule, ensuring all items were positioned where they were meant to be and just alleviating any stress for the bride and groom – and their family members, who are often called on to do it.
Having now planned and managed more than 50 weddings, I am able to offer a professional and seamless service to ensure the bride and groom, as well as wedding guests, have an incredible day. I have a passion for weddings and have organised everything from small intimate affairs, to large multi-day extravaganzas. Whatever your wedding day plans, we can be on hand to ensure your day runs smoothly.
Amanda - Event Manager
Amanda has many years experience in the hospitality industry. First working with Sarah over 15 years ago! In more recent years Amanda has worked as a producer on a wide range of events. She is a qualified visual merchandiser, and has a passion and an eye for styling, detail and design. Pairing these with her organisation and logistics experience is a guarantee that everything will look just right on the day.
Claire - Event Manager
Claire has a tonne of wedding experience under her belt, I believe her record is managing 6 weddings in one fortnight! Having so much wedding experience you know she isn't going to miss a beat. In your pre-wedding meetings Claire will always come up with great ideas and suggestions on scheduling, and will ensure no little details are missed.
The company started in Melbourne and we have many supplier contacts and referrals in the city and around Victoria. We do also have event managers and a supplier network in other major cities – so get in touch.
